Scoring

How does side-out scoring work in the app?

Tap the side that won the rally. If the serving team won, it scores. If the receivers won, the serve moves on: to the second server, or after the second server to the other team (side out). The app does the counting.

What does 0-0-2 mean?

It is the score call: serving team's score, receiving team's score, server number. Every doubles game starts at 0-0-2, so the first serving team has only one server. The app shows the call next to the game number on iPhone, iPad and Mac, and the server number on the serving tile.

Can I play singles?

Yes. Turn off Doubles in the settings. In singles the call has two numbers and the tile shows the right or left court, from your score.

Does the app support rally scoring?

Yes. Turn on Rally scoring and every rally scores a point, whoever served. Games to 11, 15 or 21 work with both systems.

When do the teams change ends?

After every game, and in the deciding game when the first team reaches 6 (8 in games to 15, 11 in games to 21). The watch taps your wrist when it is time.

Apple Watch

Do I need my iPhone on court?

No. The Apple Watch app runs on its own. Leave the phone in your bag.

How do I score without touching the screen?

Turn on Gesture Scoring in the watch app's settings. Double Tap (tap index finger and thumb together twice) adds a point for you, and Wrist Flick (turn your wrist away and back quickly) adds one for your opponent. Double Tap needs Apple Watch Series 9, Ultra 2 or newer. Leave gestures off if you wear the watch on your playing arm.

Will the screen stay on during a match?

Yes. While a match runs as a workout, the score stays on the screen. On iPhone, iPad and Mac the app keeps the display awake during a match; you can turn that off in the settings.

Can the app call out the score?

Yes. The app announces the score after every point, with deuce, game point and match point. Turn on streaks for arcade-style calls like "Double Point" and "Mega Point". It uses the voice of your device and works offline.

Health and privacy

Does the match count as a workout?

On Apple Watch, yes. With Track as workout on, each match is saved to Apple Health as a pickleball workout with duration, heart rate and active calories, and it fills your Activity rings. You can turn it off in the settings.

The workout is not saved. What can I do?

Open the Settings app on your iPhone, go to Health → Data Access & Devices (or Settings → Health → Apps on the watch), select the app and allow it to write workouts, heart rate and active energy.

What data does the app collect?

None. Your scores, player names and settings stay on your device. There is no account, no analytics and no advertising. The App Store privacy label says "Data Not Collected". Details are in the privacy policy.

Purchase and devices

Which devices are supported?

Apple Watch with watchOS 26, iPhone with iOS 26, iPad with iPadOS 26 and Mac with macOS 26.

Do I have to buy the app twice for iPhone and Mac?

No. One purchase covers iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch (universal purchase). On a new device, just download it again with the same Apple Account. Family Sharing is supported.

Do the devices sync?

Each device keeps its own match history. You can start a match on whichever device is closest, for example the watch on court or the iPad on the umpire's chair.

Which languages does the app speak?

English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Arabic and Vietnamese.

Is there a subscription or ads?

No. It is a one-time purchase on the App Store with no subscription and no ads.
